"Television is a medium, because everything well done is rare" - Fred Allen
A comedy, written in a 'mockumentary' style, Lotel documents the opening of a new luxury hotel in central London. Written as a cross between 'The Office' and 'Hotel Babylon', Lotel is a collection of some of the more memorable moments I've experienced having worked in the hotel industry over the last eight years.
Hotels offer a unique setting for comedy, with a diverse range of hotel staff from all around the world and all walks of life teaming up to reach a common goal. Once the characters had been sketched out, comic situations began to arise, and, once I got them interacting with guests, it really wrote itself!
Don't Tell the Grooms
A comedy about a young, struggling gay couple, who win a place on a TV show, offering them the wedding of their dreams with only one condition - it'll be organised by a complete stranger. Don't Tell the Grooms is a work-in-progress, please check back for a sample soon.
